Birzhan is a long term successful businessman in the Republic of Kazkahstan. AIM-X is a new project that emerged out of the current global demand for Personal Protective Equipment with the emergence of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has sadly now been classified as a World Pandemic. 

Halim is an entrepreneur of more than two decades with a wealth of experience in startups, corporate strategy, franchising, marketing and developing projects with an emphasis on bankability and compliance to an RTB stage for senior debt financing by DFI’s. 

The last three and a half years Halim has been laser focused on the developing and financing of large-scale greenfield projects of oil refineries and solar power plants in Kazakhstan and the CIS countries totaling in excess of USD 2.5B with equity partners and stakeholders from Tier 1 global companies. 

AIM-X was created in the first quarter of 2020 due to the need for a bankable approach, with an emphasis on compliance, for the PPE sector globally. The parent company of AIM-X Global and its stakeholders own and control the entire supply chain; from feedstock, factories to logistics and the private aircraft for delivery of the company's products in these testing times. Today the world is seeing an unprecedented demand for PPE goods and this has put pressure and destabilised the global supply chain and fragmented the logistics industry.

She has a solid background in finance which has been substantiated by her experience of 15 years. She has gained huge experience in the very beginning of her career, which has been useful throughout next decade. Working for state revenue committee, she showed excellent performance and responsibility and was allowed to transfer to committee branches in other cities of Kazakhstan. Later Akmaral has been trustworthy and highly productive specialist managing finance and accounts of diverse range of companies for many years.

Syed Mahmud Hasan is a well-known name in the social business circle of Bangladesh. As a young and visionary businessperson, he has made strong network across multiple industries starting from Defence industry, ready Made Garments as well as International Development in Bangladesh, Europe and North America. Mahmud is a self-taught entrepreneur of more than a decade with a wealth of experience in startups, corporate strategy, franchising and marketing. 

Mahmud is a computer engineer by education and business is his passion. His software development skill has seen several social development challenges in south Asia addressed with great success. Apart from looking after his family business he is serving as an ICT consultant for WaterAid, a global name in the field of water sanitation and hygiene, he has already gained national recognition by building a COVID-19 focused disease prevention mobile application. Sajjad’s professional career began with the property boom of the early 2000’s. He started his career as a small scale development and consulting agent to other developers and traders. Gradually he elevated himself with the knowledge he had acquired to the level that he was a frequent speaker at several property related seminars including the likes of First Track, Turning Point and First Vision International.

Over a period Sajjad developed a sales team and under his tutelage both he and his staff successfully negotiated the bulk purchase of between 10-100 residential and commercial properties off plan from the likes of Comer Homes, Galliard Homes, Barratt Homes, Berkeley Homes and Urban Space across England to name but a few.  Assets were either purchased or sold under assignable contracts to clients who arranged their Buy to Let mortgages with their banks or mortgage brokers. 

Sajjad’s natural entrepreneurial instincts led him to open a successful mortgage brokerage and a sales and lettings agency geared to offering services to private and professional landlords alike of finance, re-finance, income protection plans and life insurance. Following the crash of 2008, Sajjad focused on his Financial  Services and Asset Management until he was head hunted by a major UK retail bank. 

His core skills lead drive him to focus and triumph in the face of defeat, and that relentless approach to success coupled with his entrepreneurial and financial services background led to AIM-X head hunting him to the position of Global Sales Director to manage its worldwide network of clients.

Anuar has a gained a solid foundation studying 1 year in affiliate center of London University in International School of Economics in KBTU, Almaty. He also has a solid engineering background as he got BSc in Engineering in Nazarbayev University. Throughout his student life he had won many hackathons, including those from TechGarden, local city administrations etc. His ideas at the same were being accepted for further to development to incubation programs. His work on tube inspection robot, on which he worked with his professor was presented on ICCBVIC (International Conference on Computational Vision and Bio Inspired Computing) 2018 in India. Later in his student life, his scientific works were chosen to be developed for Q1 journal publications.

Apart from that, Anuar also founded and managed an online education web platform for school students with a traffic of about 700 students a month. This project helped high school students all along the country to gain high quality knowledge and pass their exams, putting online education market in Kazakhstan one step forward.

Issakha  has successfully implemented large scale projects with Vestergaard Frandsen and Bestnet to name a few. He has been active in the fight against Malaria in West and Central Africa with global majors in the Pharmaceutical sector for many years.

Issakha was referred to the Director General of AIM-X Global from a former UN Ambassador as a suitable candidate for advising on operations in Senegal. Following detailed discussions, and the active role the AIM-X Foundation wishes to take in Healthcare in Africa, Issakha was invited to join the AIM-X family as the Country Manager for Senegal.

Mr. Md. Mashrur Rahman (Rohed) has completed his BBA with a specialization in Business Technology Management from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University,Canada and joined Paradise Electric & Electronics Industries (PEEIL) in early 2015. He served as the Deputy Managing Director, actively involved in improving current business practices and implementing techniques to increase production efficiency.  He is also directly involved in consulting other potential areas for business development. Mr. Mashrur is a determined entrepreneur who is not afraid to take risks, displays a high level of confidence and always craves to learn and acquire knowledge from other professional environments.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, George has a successful track record of delivering complex multi-national engagements in some of the world’s largest and most respected companies, including BP, ExxonMobil & Shell JV, Unilever, Mars Confectionery, Paramount & Universal JV, and Whitbread PLC. He is a respected industry professional with an enviable global business network, featured in C-Suite magazines, spoken at the House of Commons, an Advisor to Liverpool Football Club to help grow their brand internationally, and an active member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers in the City of London. He also holds an MSc in IT & Management from Sheffield Hallam University.

In addition to his role with Aim-X, George is the CEO of Elite Capital, a company that provides loans to government projects all around the world, with ticket sizes starting from $50M USD. He is also the Director of BGC Ltd, a company that provides Finance and Consultancy to UK based SME’s, and also the company through which Aim-X products are distributed.

Kash is the Sales Manager for Aim-X products in the UK, responsible for establishing client relationships, client on-boarding, documenting requirements, price negotiation, order placement and order fulfilment.

After graduating in Economics and Business Administration from Katowice University in Poland, Kash moved to London in 2010 to start a career in Retail and Hospitality. She worked for several major retail brands including TK Maxx, JD Sports, All Saints, Monsoon and Sketchers, rising quickly up the ranks and holding key Store Management positions.

My major in university was Business Administration. After graduating the university I started overseas sales in Cosmetic field, particularly in US market. Throughout 10 years of my career I would highlight my following achievement.

I was able to achieve steady and big growth in my charge market. CAGR of my market was 9% which is more than double the sales in 10 years. 

To challenge myself, I have been starting my own business in the PPE market. The reason why I take this market is a vision of PPE in the global market. Due to spread of COVID-19 our lives have totally changed which cause people's recognition as well. So, even though pandemic, I hope, can get through, the business and people's habit will kept going. This is a short story of how I come to AIM-X.

Dr Warrier’s interest in global health in resource limited settings comes from a childhood living in India and in Zambia. The effects of illnesses such as malaria, tuberculosis, AIDS, and more recently, dengue and chikungunya in these settings is devastating, especially to the economically disadvantaged in society. I resolved to train as a scientist in order to promote research, education, and service in resource limited settings. As an undergraduate at Louisiana Tech University, I engaged in research on schistosomiasis with Dr.  James Liberatos. 

During his predoctoral training at Purdue University, he studied the mosquito borne viruses Sindbis and Yellow Fever, that are in the same families as Chikungunya and Dengue, respectively. He also assisted in teaching undergraduates to gain experience in imparting education. In order to translate his training into improving global health in resource-limited settings, He accepted a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Jeffrey Stringer at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and was based in Lusaka, Zambia. During this time, he set up a sequencing facility, designed an HIV-1 drug resistance genotyping test that reduced assay costs ten-fold, and improved laboratory turnaround time for HIV viral load testing and infant virologic testing from months to days. He did research into HIV drug resistance patterns in Zambian patients who failed first line antiretroviral therapy. Additionally, He mentored a lab technician and served as an external thesis advisor for his Masters of Science degree from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Thus, he was directly involved in research, service, and education in Zambia. In order to broaden his understanding of HIV research, he then accepted a position with Dr. George Shaw at the University of Alabama in Birmingham to work on molecular pathogenesis of SIV and HIV. His laboratory then moved to the University of Pennsylvania, and during his time in this lab he has conducted research into HIV vaccine trials in non-human primates, as well as identifying novel HIV-1 and SIV epitopes that are targeted by human and rhesus macaque immune systems, respectively. 

He returned to Zambia in 2016 to serve as the lab director at CIDRZ Central Laboratory in Lusaka, Zambia, which is a national reference clinical laboratory that supports PEPFAR goals in Zambia, as well as testing and capacity building for HIV-1 network studies (HVTN) and numerous projects funded through NIH, EDCTP, Fleming Fund, PEPFAR, among others. The lab achieved the honor of being the first medical laboratory in Zambia to be internationally accredited to ISO15189 standards. In order to use their clinical lab expertise to improve other laboratories in Zambia involved with the HIV response, they applied for and were successfully awarded the CDC grant Laboratory Innovation for Excellence running from 2018-2023 which aims to scale up HIV viral load and infant virological testing by improving laboratory systems. Under this project, they have established and improved courier networks, results return, and capacitated central testing facilities and smaller labs for scale-up. He transitioned to head a new department at CIDRZ called the Department of Biomedical Research that aims to conduct research into diagnostics and improvement of laboratory systems in country.  Under this department, they are conducting externally funded research into new diagnostics, doing national HIV drug resistance surveillance, partnering with a multinational diagnostic company, Beckman Coulter, to test new diagnostics, and have been awarded the Fleming Fund grant for Zambia to improve antimicrobial resistance surveillance networks, strengthen microbiology labs, and support the development of a policy framework to allow the government Ministries of Health, Livestock and Fisheries, and Environment to use antimicrobial surveillance data to reduce antimicrobial resistance.

Dr Warrier was brought into AIM-X Global as a scientific advisor to guide the research and scientific work of the AIM-X Foundation with a view to developing a globally recognised Pandemic Readiness Index.

Dr. Randy Hatfield is a senior education expert with over 25 years of experience in designing, leading and evaluating education sector programs. He has served for over 9 years with USAID as an Education Office Director in Islamabad, Pakistan and a Deputy Director for a Regional Mission Office in Sindh where he processed $155 million in basic education funding ($81 million on-budget support for school infrastructure and $74 million for technical assistance). 

He has also served as a team leader on multiple designs, evaluations from basic to tertiary education and youth projects and has advised host governments on education policy and system reforms. As a senior education consultant, he conducted a technical review of the Jordanian Ministry of Education’s pre-service teacher education model. He also led a task force on teacher accreditation and certification for the World Bank and advised the Punjab Department of Education in Pakistan on teacher continual professional development. As a policy consultant for UNESCO, he led a team that prepared a national policy framework for teacher education, which led to the establishment of a national accreditation process, improved pre-service programming and the establishment of bachelor’s degree programs in education within Pakistani public universities. While serving as the Director for Education at the Aga Khan Foundation/Pakistan, 

Dr. Hatfield advised and managed grants to strengthen early childhood education and teacher education degree programs at the Aga Khan University-Institute for Education Development. International agencies that Dr. Hatfield has served include USAID, World Bank, DfID, World Vision, Aga Khan Foundation, UNICEF, and UNESCO. He received a Masters' Degree in International Development from American University, School of International Service and a Ph.D. degree from the London School of Economics in Social Policy and Administration with research focused on decentralization of education administration in Balochistan, Pakistan.

Dr Hatfield was brought into advise AIM-X Foundation on its educational projects and programmes globally. His commitment to Education as a fundamental pillar of development is evident in his career and personal philanthropic activities.
